Lynn Kelly's installations of paintings, sculptures, and constructions are investigations of the materiality of painting; explored through personal experiences she works with the ideas of loneliness, cities at night, and moments of insight through to the global concepts of migration and loss, being a stranger in a foreign city, referencing moments of light in a time of darkness.
Her work has been shown in numerous locations internationally including London, Toronto, New York. Solo shows have been located in Toronto, Hamilton, and Salmon Arm British Columbia. Her work is held in numerous private and public collections including the United Way of Canada.
Lynn Kelly obtained her BFA with distinction from the Ontario College of Art and Design in 2006 and her MA in Fine Art from the Chelsea College of Art and Design in 2008. She currently lives and works in Toronto.
