Beverly Owens has recently launched a studio gallery on Queen St West in the Art and Design district of Toronto steps from The Drake Hotel. Blogto editor Derek Flack asserts "Encaustic painting is experiencing a resurgence, and the Beverly Owens Project is one of the best places in the city to see it." Owens continues to be a highly collected artist. Her work is found in collections throughout Canada, United States and Europe. Owens has been a favorite of corporate collectors such as Nine West head office, president of EBAY Canada, Mark Lash Designs, The Gluckstein Design Group, Oni One. Excitedly commissioned by Canada's preeminent art collectors the Ydessa Hendeles family. NBA star Adonal Foyle of the Orlando Magic is a collector. Other clients include television shows such as The Border, The Best Years and television ads by the likes of Kinder Bueno chocolates. Owens was recently awarded the curator's choice award at The Elaine Fleck Gallery. This spring Owens will be featured in the Globe and Mail magazine Lush and Arabella Canadian Art, Architecture and Design magazine.
