Beverly was working in her sculpture studio when a fellow artist introduced her to the techniques of encaustic. A study of encaustic at the Ontario College of Art and Design followed. Beverly's shift of discipline was not to leave the act of sculpting behind. She takes the traditional methods of encaustic, adds her sculpting sensibilities even using her sculpting tools on the wax and then adds a flare of the contemporary. This unusual combination of the traditional and the modern creates braveness to her minimalism. Beverly is part of the Eastern Front Gallery an artist cooperative in Toronto. Beverly's work is found in private collections in North America, Europe and corporate collections in Toronto.
